...My focus in schooling was in Zoology and Ecology, but I've taken plenty of science classes and labs, and work in chemistry/environmental now. ...The ability to reason through a scientific question to find the answer is always more helpful than simply knowing any individual answer. I like to build on what people already know when trying to teach them more. My strongest subject, Geology, is very visual, and I like to show students images, diagrams, and real examples to help them understand the concepts of various geological sciences. (read more)
I am a former college professor and secondary English teacher that has recently moved into the state. I have a Masters degree in English and teaching certification; also, I'm planning to get a fourth degree in Computer Science, so I have been working on my math skills.
