There is always something cool to be found in a lesson, and I want to help other people see that. ...My focus in schooling was in Zoology and Ecology, but I've taken plenty of science classes and labs, and work in chemistry/environmental now. When I student taught, I covered everything from genetics to anatomy to ecology. While I have a full-time job and a family, I am available in the evenings. (read more)
...I have a Masters degree in English and teaching certification; also, I'm planning to get a fourth degree in Computer Science, so I have been working on my math skills. I feel confident with Pre-Algebra and Algebra, if a student needs help in those areas. In the meantime, I'm a stay-at-home father looking for some part time income. (read more)
...The ability to reason through a scientific question to find the answer is always more helpful than simply knowing any individual answer. I like to build on what people already know when trying to teach them more. My strongest subject, Geology, is very visual, and I like to show students images, diagrams, and real examples to help them understand the concepts of various geological sciences. (read more)
...I currently use Windows XP on a dual boot computer next to Linux. I am familiar with everything from installation of Windows to everyday operations, as well as more advanced tasks such as editing the registry. My educational qualifications include a M.S. in physics from UC Riverside as well as a B.S. in physics with a specialization in astrophysics from UC San Diego. (read more)
