I had great teachers willing to patiently help me, and I loved the feeling of mastery that came when I understood how to do problems that seemed impossible. ...I don't simply do students' work for them, but rather try to explain things in a way that the teacher or professor did not, so that the student will do well without someone coaching them during exams. I view my tutoring as a way to put myself out of a job. If I can make sure a student doesn't need my help anymore, I have succeeded as a tutor. (read more)

...I used to tutor science and chiropractic students with anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, spinal anatomy, rehab and nutrition. I would teach anatomy through 3D images while in school and had a unique way of understanding concepts of the body. I have played basketball my whole life and even into college. (read more)
