The Purplemath algebra lessons are available in offline form for home use! This allows you to, for instance, review the lessons on your laptop while you ride the bus, or let your grandkids "surf" the site without having to provide them with a "live" Internet connection.
The "Purplemath CD" contains the entire Purplemath web site, modified for offline viewing. These modifications include such things as deletion of certain scripts and other "live" elements. Since the files for a web site are just HTML and graphics, any computer (Linux, Windows, Mac, etc) on which you can view this site "live" can also view the offline version.
Note: The offline version was created before "responsive" design. Many ("most"?) people view the website at their convenience on their mobiles and tablets. The download is not suitable for such an environment. However, if you are working with a desktop or laptop computer and need offline access, the download may suit your needs, and the cost is only US$12!
To purchase the "Purplemath CD" zipped archive, please use the button below:
The processor will accept your PayPal or credit-card payment, and will then, via email, provide you with your personal link to the secure download.
Once you have downloaded the file (which is a zipped archive, about 10 megabytes in size), "unzip" the archived folder. You can then access the offline version of the site by clicking on the "index.htm" file within the folder. You may also copy the folder onto a CD for transfer, say, from your desktop to your laptop.
Having trouble with the downloaded file? It's a "zipped" (compressed) "archive" (collection of files). For instructions on how to "unzip" the archive on your system, please try one of the following search links:
(If your operating system is not displayed above, try searching for "how to unzip files", adding your operating system to the search terms.)
