...In May 2018 a co-worker of mine and I founded a summer reading program in Pineville, La for students grades 1-8 with special needs called Here We Grow. In October 2018 I was awarded the Decades of Women Award given by the YWCA for my service to children with special needs. I have a true passion for teaching and feel like EVERY child is capable of learning, no matter their challenges. (read more)
My bachelor's degree is in Math Education, and I earned my master's degree in Education Leadership. My certification for the state of Louisiana is for 6th-12th grade math, high school ELA, Special Education, and administration. I taught math and special education for 20 years, from 6th grade - high school geometry. (read more)
