...It is my job to be flexible and engaging while bringing life and value to the subjects. For example, an elementary student of mine was uninterested in fractions, and struggling with word problems. I took an apple from the kitchen and told him to think about a scenario in which he'd need to share his apple with his sister, and his attitude began to shift to curiosity and interest. (read more)
