...I have to say that I did not really understand the purpose of algebra until I studied calculus, and then it made the most sense to really understand and be able to correctly use algebra in order to solve more complex problems in our world. ...Math remains my favorite subject to tutor. I try really hard to determine each student's unique learning style and explain the material in a way that makes it make sense to them. I put a strong emphasis on ensuring that the student actually understands *why* it works, not just how. (read more)
