I have been a college professor of Spanish for twenty-plus years, and I have a PhD in comparative literature. I am completely fluent, but I remember how hard it was to learn Spanish as a non-native speaker. ...I find that students are usually just stumbling over an initial 'speed bump' that I work to help them get over. Once a problem gets off to a good start, the student can experience the success of correctly completed and understood assignments. I look to be a guide first. (read more)
