...Each year, I begin by asking my students to raise their hand if math is their least favorite subject. The majority of the class always feels the same way and agree that math is the worst. I promise them that by the end of the semester they will have a much better understanding and appreciation for the content. (read more)
...I have been teaching in a special education setting for 9 years now. In May 2018 a co-worker of mine and I founded a summer reading program in Pineville, La for students grades 1-8 with special needs called Here We Grow. In October 2018 I was awarded the Decades of Women Award given by the YWCA for my service to children with special needs. (read more)
