Esther H. ...As to the visual learner, I might show him what the format of the solution needs to look like. That way he or she could visually recognize 6+3 as equalling 9. Memorization is a very good technique and provides for easy mind-visualizing of the problem and solution, so that when he or she sees 6+3, "9" will immediately be recalled or visualized as the solution.
