I hold a PhD, Masters and Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. ...My approach to teaching focuses on engagement with material and strategies to understand the content learned, rather than memorize it. While memorization can have its place, I believe understanding material is the best way to remember it long term. I use frequent "check-ins" with students and am always happy to back up or rephrase to ensure the pace is appropriate. (read more)
