...I learned Perl from the first edition of Larry Wall's camel book "Programming Perl." Thirty years later, I continue to write Perl scripts to manage software builds and releases. As a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard in the early 90s, I wrote a lot of the glue-code for our protein folding research group, and all of the glue was in Perl.
