I am an instructional assistant in an alternative educational setting. I am responsible for small group instruction and concentrate mainly in English, but provide assistance to students in any subject for which they may need extra guidance. My love for teaching started at a very young age. I moved from Vermont to Florida when I was 17 and obtained my Associate, Bachelor, and Masters Degree in Elementary and Reading education. ...Each student is tested in each subject when they enroll in order to identify strengths and weaknesses. They are then placed in the curriculum where they test out, even if it means 3rd grade math and 5th grade English, etc. We then work with them one on one to help them to work on the subjects that they are weaker in so that they can get to be at level in all their subjects.
