...By entertaining my students and making them laugh, they are more willing to want to learn, and better understand the course materials through various, goofy examples. And yes, there can be goofy math problems. ...This allows the student to take the information that they learned and apply it to their writing. When students are simply told to regurgitate grammar rules and essay formats, their writing skills do not improve and they become reliant on tutoring. I teach students to build up their own ideas into papers, not just tell them what to do. (read more)
