...In other words, I explain the why behind the math, versus just memorizing steps. This helps one to understand the mathematical precepts and, in my experience, creates mathematical independence. The feedback I have gotten from my students is they no longer see math as a mystery and are surprised at how easy it is to understand. (read more)
