I believe the most successful math tutoring is pre-teaching rather than re-teaching. This requires some extra communication with the child's classroom teacher, but I believe it is well worth it. ...When I was a teenager I took bass guitar lessons and then a few months later I decided to pick up the guitar. Since then I have played in worship bands, rock bands and have filled in for other musicians when needed. Additionally, for my NHS service project I gave guitar lessons to several of my classmates to help them begin learning the basics of guitar. (read more)
