...In graduate school, I took a course on Teaching Diverse Learners, half of which was devoted to special education, one lesson of which was devoted entirely to autism. I got an A- in that course. I am an autistic person myself and am intimately familiar with the challenges autism might present to learning as well as how to circumvent those challenges and use autistic traits as assets. ...I sing with a Hebrew Choir, and previously founded and led a Hebrew Children's Choir. Teaching Hebrew, especially Hebrew music, is the center of my joy! I have been teaching and studying the Hebrew Bible - also known as The Old Testament, the Torah, and the Tanach / Tanakh - for 30 years, including studying as an undergraduate at a local Jewish university.
