...My preferred method is to give "mini-lectures" using a whiteboard to illustrate examples. In my history of tutoring, I have found that the majority of students are visual learners, so I find this method to be most beneficial. I also like to watch my students work out problems so that I may learn where their weaknesses lie, then work to improve them. (read more)
