...For me history has a way to present solutions to some modern issues. I also believe that history is a way to see large scale patterns that are very applicable to our own lives. Connecting the past to the present was a useful skill that I learned that allowed me to win two class rewards in social studies in high school, as well as give me a better understanding of the modern world. ...The theorems and methods aren’t any harder than those in calculus, IF one understands what is being talked about in the first place. I would actually say most of the plug and chug is easier than most calculus plug and chug IF one understands what is going on in the first place. But linear algebra is abstract, so that’s a big if.
