...I feel that I have a strong intuitive understanding of calculus, which I try to impart to my students, so that it is not all about memorizing formulas and techniques. I love geometry because of its visual elements, and how it requires you to think in completely different ways. I went through the University of Pittsburgh as a chemical engineering major. After completing a masters degree in chemical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh, I decided to pursue a teaching certificate. ...In my previous education, I attended Barack Obama Academy of Internation Studies 6-12 where I was able to maintain a 4.3 weighted GPA. At Obama I exceled in Mathematics where I've been in CAS every year at Obama taking rigorous math courses, and already taking Algebra one in middle school.
