...I like what I do! I received my Master of Science degree in Applied Physics from East Carolina University. My thesis was on Particle Induced X-Ray Emission (PIXE). I constructed a PIXE chamber then used ECU's particle accelerator to bombard targets, thus emitting characteristic X-Rays that helped to unveil the target's chemical makeup. (read more)
...I have taught everything from 6th-grade math to AP Statistics. I have taught Pre-Calculus every year and unit circle/trigonometry is my favorite topic to teach. I enjoy working with people and helping them find a new way to see the topic. (read more)
...After teaching, I spent four years in the Marine Corps. This gave me the opportunity to continue to hone my teaching and mentorship skills. I helped mentor Marines not only in their jobs but also in math as they transitioned out of the military and sought to enroll at undergraduate schools. (read more)
