...I had a hard time focusing on what I considered to be a boring subject. It wasn't until my senior year of highschool that I began to really take an interest in math, solidifying my desire to be an engineer. ...I took a semester course in ordinary differential equations as an undergraduate and a year of partial differential equations as a graduate student. I recently tutored my own son through a semester undergraduate course in ordinary differential equations, so I have recently refreshed my knowledge of this material. ...I was fortunate to learn an extensive program taught by a tutoring corp. I was a tutor for them at that time. The program integrated the student in how to study, prioritize homework, prepare for quizzes and tests, and schedule extra sport or school activities. (read more)
