I've also met a lot of adults that feel stuck in jobs that they don't enjoy, because they chose college majors that allowed them to avoid math. (read more)
...In transitioning to teaching, my first position began at Northwest Career College teaching A & P to aspiring Medical Assistant's. While I have always had a knack for studying, learning, memorizing, and understanding new concepts, I have only shared that with others for the past year or so. I am an Athletic Training Major at UNLV, and have always loved learning and teaching about the body. ...I left my great job in graphic design for the weekend night work of a DJ for the purpose of spending more daily time with my child, which enabled me to volunteer daily. When his school had some budget cuts and was unfortunately left short of a PE teacher, I filled that role as a volunteer. I also started an after school basketball program that raised funds for the school. (read more)
