...I didn't specialize in chemistry as an undergraduate but I started tutoring chemistry during my last years as an undergraduate. I gained much greater experience when I joined the Biophysics Research Program. When necessary or requested I work with students to develop study plans and routines and will walk them through the steps needed to solve common problems. ...Rather than act like a teacher, I like to get to know the students I'm helping and treat our lessons in a much more casual way. I teach topics in the way that I understand them, go over practice problems and encourage lots of questions. I usually suggest some problems to do between sessions, and am always available to chat and answer questions outside of the scheduled meeting time. (read more)

Further, during spring 2023 I worked remotely as an ACT tutor, resulting in a 4-point score increase for one of my students.
