...I read through transcripts of the inquiry and took names of key players in the decisions made on the Titanic's fateful night. Then my students wrote "their" stories in the first person as two of the shipmates. Neither of the boys was considered a "good" writer, but both enjoyed the experience of using the research to write their own tales! (read more)
