...Outside of the standard theory track, I have also taken classes on 20th century theory, tonal theory, and basso continuo, achieving As in all theory classes. For math, I achieved a score of 5/5 on the AP Calculus AB and BC exams. I was also able to teach myself pre-Calc for high school as a prerequisite for the AP Calc class, and would tutor my classmates throughout high school. (read more)

...I think the best way to learn something is to DO it, so my teaching style is focused on helping my students actively engage with the material. I like to have back-and-forth conversations with my students to see where they are with the material, and to help guide them to a deeper understanding.
