...The classroom setting often makes it impossible to address any one student's specific need, since a group average "composite character" must be taught to instead. This can be frustrating. ...I like to assess what is trying to be taught and what the student does and does not understand about the subject matter. Then I try to have the student reason with me verbally, and I direct the thinking towards the right direction.
