Why I tutor
As long as I can remember, I've been helping students in school. I've spent much of my life as an academic coach -- from correcting my younger brother's algebra homework to editing college essays for high school students--because I enjoy it. Students ask me back because I bring enthusiasm, hard work, and personalized attention to each lesson. (read more)
...The amount of time that it takes to develop the correct thinking skills varies in each case, but I have many very happy parents who never have to pay for another tutoring lesson again in order for their son or daughter to earn grades they want. In my methods I avoid lecturing. Students get plenty of that in the classroom and since they need a tutor, lecturing proves to be ineffective. (read more)
