...In general, there are two things that get kids stuck in Calculus. 1) Algebra HARD. Usually algebra is where things go wrong, and 2) Calculus is the first real class that really requires a conceptual understanding of what you're doing, and not just memorization. Since most math classes prepare you for the latter, not the former, this can be quite the difficulty curve for students. (read more)
