Students need to see multiple methods (i.e. graphically, algebraically, numerically, etc.) on how to answer a math problem. ...I've tutored math locally, algebra through calculus, for several years. I recommend that Precalculus students check out the manga-inspired book "Who Is Fourier? A Mathematical Adventure" for a gentle introduction to trigonometry and trigonometric identities, complex numbers and powers of i, vectors, and exponential and logarithmic functions. (read more)
