I have completed 12 semesters undergraduate coursework at the University of Wisconsin with a triple major in soc, psy, and philosophy. After receiving my BA I did six semesters in graduate school and received an MA in sociology. I have also taught college for 20 semesters and have thousands of positive student evaluations. ...I am now finishing up my master's program in linguistics and have been a teaching assistant at the college level for over a year now. I love reading and editing as well as learning new things every day. I think life is about learning from one another and I do not think that there is an age limit on who you can learn from. ...My focus in schooling was in Zoology and Ecology, but I've taken plenty of science classes and labs, and work in chemistry/environmental now. When I student taught, I covered everything from genetics to anatomy to ecology. While I have a full-time job and a family, I am available in the evenings. (read more)
...I encourage students to think critically and understand the material presented, rather than simply memorizing information. The ability to reason through a scientific question to find the answer is always more helpful than simply knowing any individual answer. I like to build on what people already know when trying to teach them more. (read more)
