I'm a former engineer who got into teaching math bath b/c I love interacting with students, I'm good at it and I love understanding things. ...It starts to use symbolic logic and sets of simple rules, such as you can do anything to an equation so long as you do it to both sides. Algebra 2 begins to use more symbolic logic to solve more advanced problems. It often uses numbers such as i or logarithms to enable the solution of problems that could not be solved otherwise.
