...It starts to use symbolic logic and sets of simple rules, such as you can do anything to an equation so long as you do it to both sides. Algebra 2 begins to use more symbolic logic to solve more advanced problems. It often uses numbers such as i or logarithms to enable the solution of problems that could not be solved otherwise.
