...I have a math degree from Yale (as well as music!) and over 6 years of SAT tutoring experience. It's important to balance mathematical content understanding while still seeing the big picture. The questions on the SAT don't say "solve for x" anywhere near as often as you might expect; really, it's all about being flexible and able to apply your content understanding in various ways! ...Almost all of my teaching experience has been with non-major students, those who are not majoring in a discipline closely related to Mathematics. My experience has also been divided equally in terms of teaching online and teaching in person, so I am very flexible with teaching in both formats.
