For the past two years I have been a tutor and mentor for at risk students through a non profit organization, City Year San Antonio. I have worked with students from grades K-6, primarily in 5th grade ELA and math and 6th-grade math. ...I'm good at all levels of general math taught in elementary and middle school. I have not gone through an official phonics training, but I have been in classes over my own educational experiences that have given me a basic understanding of how phonics works.
