...It's confusing because, first, you need to learn all the rules of formal expository writing. You know, the five paragraph essay that starts with an Introduction with a thesis, has three body paragraphs each with a topic sentence, and ends with a conclusion. Then, you have to learn how to relax the rules and write as if you were telling a story. (read more)
