...I like to have students work through problems while I guide them and make suggestions, so that I can get a sense of what they understand and what they don't. Then we can build on their knowledge and break down the challenging parts of the problem into smaller, more manageable chunks. Algebra, geometry, and trigonometry are fundamental to more advanced topics in math, so I use them every day. (read more)
...I was a math major and took engineering probability and statistics in college. I also have tutored graduate-level statistics and am familiar with all major types of hypothesis tests used for research.
