...I have a great understanding and grasp on the subject of Algebra. In high school I was able to skip over Algebra 1 and take Honors Algebra 2 because of my high math placement. In addition, my final average in that class was a 97%. Also I worked for the University of Alabama as a math tutor and assisted a great number of students in Algebra, Calculus, and even more advanced courses. (read more)
...I have tutored anywhere from elementary to college math, but I especially love teaching algebra, geometry, and trigonometry! I scored a 33 on the math portion of the ACT which primarily focuses on these three subjects. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Biology so I've taken A LOT of science courses from chemistry to biology to physics and more! (read more)

...While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, I did enjoy a full-time appointment to the math faculty of Alabama A&M University for 5 of those years. I have also used my skills in industry and government, most notably at NASA and Intergraph. I've taught just about every undergraduate math course and tutored some graduate ones, too. (read more)
I love teaching and forming strong bonds with students! Most of my students over the years consider me kind, easy to understand, organized, and corny (I love math jokes!!!). Tutoring one-on-one is so rewarding. I feel like I'm the most effective in that setting, and my students always gain confidence and perform better. (read more)
