...The theorems and methods aren’t any harder than those in calculus, IF one understands what is being talked about in the first place. I would actually say most of the plug and chug is easier than most calculus plug and chug IF one understands what is going on in the first place. But linear algebra is abstract, so that’s a big if. ...I believe students sometimes feel they don't like a subject because they don't do well in the subject. Once someone explains concepts and helps them solve problems on their own, they get excited, and slowly the confidence builds up. I would love to see kids experience this and start loving math and science.I have a Ph.D in Physics and so have Math fundamentals. (read more)
