...While traveling in the van, I would put on good music: Copland, or Bizet, or Slavic choral music – not romantic, but beautiful, colorful, and not small. I taught them to tie their shoes. When I realized they didn't know the days of the week, I made up a song (comprised of the names of the days) and taught it to them. (read more)
