I got a BS in Mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1991. After teaching high school for three years in El Paso, Texas, and teaching middle school math in Belen, New Mexico, I returned to New Mexico Tech to obtain my Master's Degree in Mathematics.
