...Algebra is the basis of all math, therefore I use it on a daily basis and am perfectly comfortable with the material. I not only took these courses recently and earned A's at the college level, but also have been teaching this material for the past two years. The ideal tutoring environment differs from student to student. If the noise level in a coffee shop or cafeteria does not bother the student, such places could be ideal for that student. The white noise of a crowd of random conversations can sometimes be comforting, familiar, and invigorating. (read more)

I am an incoming freshman at the University of Pittsburgh as a Neuroscience major. I am specifically interested in Computational Neuroscience, and I'm always looking for ways to make math enjoyable. ...While in school, I spent two years tutoring stats and calc for the athletic department. This gave me experience tutoring kids of all different backgrounds and abilities. Many of my students not only passed, but also received A's in their classes. (read more)
