...I always felt that Math revolved around a few simple rules, and once you really figure those rules out, it's a simple as plugging everything in. These days, I'm an Engineering student at Cornell, and am reminded on a daily basis of how important the basics are. I received a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, a 5 on both AP Physics C exams, and an 800 on the Math II SAT Subject Test. (read more)
...I have received all As in my writing-based courses in college, and in high school was also selected to be a peer tutor at my school's writing center. During my time as a peer tutor, I helped other students with readings and essays on texts related to philosophy as well as psychology. ...Along with math, I liked learning how things worked, particularly in physics and chemistry. I learned how to interpret graphs and charts and extrapolate data. The ACT doesn't test your knowledge of the sciences, but how to read data and draw conclusions. (read more)
