...I also encourage you to ask as many questions as possible, no matter how silly, so that you can get your own head around the problem. I then find it useful to ask questions to test your understanding, or perhaps get you to explain the concept to someone else. I also teach solid, repeatable methods for solving problems in physics, which sorts out the first type of issue I described above. (read more)
