I received my bachelor's degree from Bucknell University, where I studied Education, Spanish, and Environmental Studies. Since then, I have served as an urban farm educator, bilingual educator, outdoor educator, preschool teacher, and K-3rd grade private school teacher. ...I have helped elementary-middle school and college students develop appropriate study skills. My strategies include teaching them how to preread a chapter by looking at topic names, subtopics, captions and photos. I also share a strategy called QAD- question answer detail, after reading a long paragraph- write a simple question, simple answer, fill in with bullet points as details. (read more)
