I am still amazed and intrigued by how many different "American" histories there are wrapped up into what we traditionally call American History. As Colin Woodward argues in his book American Nations, there are at least 11 different rival cultures that make America into the diverse place that it is.

Cristiana P. ...A student's goal is my goal, be it mastering a certain subject area or raising a letter grade. I always track a student's progress based on what he or she hopes to accomplish. One way I do this is by going over old tests, making sure a student is proficient in the problems that are correct and helping in the areas where confusion still exists.

Lucas B. ...My grade was an A. I was approved by the SUNY New Paltz Tutoring Center (where I was working) to tutor the course while I was taking it. I took the course purely out of interest as it was not required for my major (Physics). While tutoring it I would follow the syllabus and work on example problems with students.
