...I have experience teaching a school for students with learning differences, many of who had language-based learning differences such as dyslexia, often co-morbid with ASD and/or ADHD. The neurodiverse have always been welcome in my classroom. I hold a K-8 generalist teaching certification and have taught exclusively in schools/districts that have adopted the Common Core standards. That year in the classroom helped me realize that I do best, and therefore my students are more engaged and comprehending more, when I can work with them one-on-one or in a small group.
