...But the first topic was always a review of the basic concepts necessary to understand the subject matter. I would refine the lesson plans based on the needs of the student. If the student had difficulty grasping a particular topic, I would use models and analogies to further explain the topic. (read more)
I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry from Saint Martin's University. I have worked as a chemist in the private sector and as a financial and budget analyst in the public sector, but have been at home most recently raising my children. I have taught mostly younger kids -- mine and others -- pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry for three years. (read more)
...But, frankly, teaching is my knack. I completed my Master's degree and ended my graduate work to raise my first daughter full-time while my wife completed her graduate school.
