Matt B. ...Personally, statistics was my favorite class to teach. My tutoring experience comes from years of after-school sessions with students, in which I always tried to find new ways to present the math so that students could find a way to grab on. I particularly like using interactive tools like Desmos and Geogebra to give students a chance to play around with ideas and find patterns themselves.

Kate C. ...Some students miss out on learning in school because they have their own troubles at home in life, or with specific teachers or teaching styles. And some subjects - such as Evolution - are simply not taught in all school systems. I use diagnostic probes to explore students' mathematical thinking and help to shore up their knowledge gaps.
