Dean L. ...The assumptions surrounding these diagnoses suggest that there is a focus problem which can be alleviated if we can make the child somehow try harder. I have found these assumptions to be unwarranted. ADD/ADHD kids apprear to be more aware of what is going on around them an every level, and so subdivide their thought processes among those things crying for attention.
