...There’s a big stigma, especially in math settings, where people are led to believe that they aren’t good at a subject because they are them. (i.e. “I’m not a math person.”) I believe this way of thinking is very flawed. With enough support, work, and drive anybody can reach the highest levels in all areas of expertise. ...Spending so much time with the subject has allowed me to refine not just my performance in, but my ability to explain the material. I have had years of experience with the calculus sequence, starting from high school when i scored a 5 on the BC exam. After that, I proceeded to the multivariate sequence at the University and took their honors course in vector calculus. (read more)
